Sandra Deal to Join Special Group of KSU Graduates

At a February rally in support of state funding for more programs like the Academy, her husband lauded Kennesaw State's efforts.

When they graduate Thursday from Kennesaw State University’s Academy for Inclusive Learning and Social Growth, the only post-secondary program in the state that enables students with intellectual and developmental disabilities to experience college life, Georgia First Lady Sandra Deal will be there to congratulate them.

The school made the announcement Tuesday.

This will be the third cohort of students to graduate from the academy. The second cohort of students in May 2012 received certificates and internships at the end of the two-year program.
