U.N. to Open 1st University-Based Training Center in Kennesaw
A Monday ceremony will mark the occasion.
Kennesaw State University and CIFAL Atlanta, the United Nations training center for government authorities and civil society leaders, will celebrate the formation of a new partnership and the relocation of CIFAL’s office to the university’s campus during a Feb. 11 ceremony.
Walter Bastian, deputy assistant secretary for the Western Hemisphere, U.S. Department of Commerce, will deliver the keynote address at the ceremony, scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Monday.
Kennesaw State University president Daniel S. Papp and CIFAL Atlanta Board of Trustees chair Craig Lesser are expected to attend.
