University Place II Opens Today

A ribbon cutting for Kennesaw State University's new housing complex will be held this morning.

Officials at today will open the college's new housing complex, University Place II.

A ribbon cutting will be held at 9:30 a.m., followed by tours of the complex from 10-11 a.m. A free concert for students will be held in the University Place Amphitheater at 7 p.m.

University Place II is a 207,500-square-foot apartment complex featuring 451 bedrooms, in-room and outdoor Wi-Fi connectivity, amphitheater, courtyard, a multipurpose room and a Residence Life office. The new development is located adjacent to , a 700-bed facility.

 began last October. It was paid for by the KSU Foundation with bonds issued by the Development Authority of Cobb County.
