Find out all about sports leagues and sport opportunities in Kennesaw, and take part in live-action drills, challenges and on-field demonstrations. Representatives from the City's youth soccer, baseball, softball, football and cheerleading associations will be on-site from 6 to 9 p.m. conducting registration for fall leagues. Other field activities include a rock climbing wall, bounce house, inflatable slide and obstacle course; along with music provided by DJ Ray's Entertainment.
The festivities will continue after dark on the soccer field with an outdoor movie, Journey 2: The Mysterious Island (rated PG). The 2012 sequel to Journey to the Center of the Earth, has been described as a good old-fashioned action adventure film, and stars Dwayne Johnson, better known as The Rock, Josh Hutcherson and Vanessa Hudgens. Moviegoers are encouraged to bring a blanket or comfortable low-back chair.
Food trucks and concessionaires will provide plenty of vending options, including fresh food, meatball sandwiches, cold beverages and snacks.
Event parking is available at Adams Park and the Community Center, located at 2753 Watts Drive.
