Former NFL MVP LaDainian Tomlinson to Host Kennesaw Football Camp

Kennesaw Mountain High School and the LaDainian Tomlinson (LT) Preparatory Academy will be hosting the 2013 Elite Football Performance Clinic July 12 through July 14 at Kennesaw Mountain High School.

Former NFL MVP Tomlinson will be on site to direct clinic activities as well as provide instruction to participants. He will be joined by his coaching staff, which consists of former collegiate coaches and players, as well as NFL veterans.

“We’re committed to helping student-athletes enhance their performance both on and off of the field, as well as providing parents with the information they will need to help their child obtain a NCAA athletic scholarship,” Tomlinson said. 

Registration is open to all student-athletes in the Metro-Atlanta area in grades one through 12.

The clinic will feature various instructional stations for grades one through five that are designed to focus on teaching and perfecting technique for all positions, as well as speed and agility.

For participants in grades six through 12, the program will consist of position drills, recruiting information for parents and student-athletes, Core Course GPA Information and more.

Tomlinson was a six-time NFL All-Pro selection, won two NFL rushing titles and currently ranks fifth all-time in rushing yards, second in rushing touchdowns and third in total touchdowns. He played the majority of his 11-year career with the San Diego Chargers, having also played his final two seasons with the New York Jets.
