The menβs game faired differently, as the Owls (5-17 overall) were trailing the Camels (11-13 overall) for most of the first period.
However, the Owls made a comeback, eventually tying the game 34-34 with 55 seconds left in the first period on two free throws by sophomore guard Markeith Cummings.

After halftime, both teams fought hard for control of the scoreboard, but neither team managed to pull ahead by more than 4 points for over 10 minutes of the second period.
As the game moved into the final five minutes, Kennesaw State University started to pull ahead, in part due to a three-pointer made by senior guard Kelvin McConnel who reached a milestone in his collegiate basketball career when he sank his 200th three-pointer during the game.
