KSU Schedules Memorial for Athlete
Jonathan M. Garner died of unknown causes just days before Christmas.
Kennesaw State has released details of a memorial in honor of Jonathan M. Garner, the 18-year-old track and field athlete who died of unknown causes just days before Christmas.
A service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the KSU Convocation Center, 1000 Chastain Rd. Doors to the KSU Convocation Center will open at 1:15 p.m.
This is at least the third memorial for Garner, a freshman from Roswell. Zion Missionary Baptist Church held a celebration of life on Jan. 3, a week after family members gathered in Walnut Grove, Miss., for Garner's funeral.
