Lady Hoyas Host State Championship

Here's what's happening in high school athletics in Kennesaw Patch on May 13.

The big event in Kennesaw Patch today is top-ranked ’s battle for the GHSA Girls State Soccer Championship.

The Lady Hoyas enter the game with a 20-0-2 record and have only given up five goals during the entire season. Harrison has not been scored on yet in the playoffs.

North Gwinnett is 19-3 this season and ranked No. 4 in the state. The Lady Bulldogs’ only three losses have come at the hands of Collins Hill, Grayson and McIntosh. Harrison has played two of those teams; beating Collins Hill, 1-0, and recording a tie with McIntosh, 1-1.

, Harrison and will continue competition at the GHSA Girls Track and Field State Championships at Hugh Mills Stadium, 12 p.m.

Thursday’s Scoreboard

Girls Track: North Cobb’s Morgan Jackson finished the 1600 Meter Run in 5:11.190, finishing sixth.

Girls Track: Harrison’s Maria Boff finished the 1600 Meter Run in 5:13.020, finishing eighth.
