Weekend Pigskin Roundup: Mustangs, Hoyas Fall

Each Monday we'll take a look at what happened on the gridiron over the weekend in Kennesaw Patch.

McEachern 63, Kennesaw Mountain 14 – McEachern scored just two minutes into the game Friday, according to the Marietta Daily Journal, and held to 128 yards of total offense.

In the first five minutes of the game, McEachern had three touchdowns and would roll against the winless Mustangs.

Kennesaw Mountain scored with just 16 seconds remaining in the first half, but the 42-point lead McEachern had built was too much for the Mustangs to game plan for at halftime.

North Cobb 21, Harrison 17 – jumped out to a two-touchdown lead, but had to fight for its playoff life to hold off and win, 21-17, Friday, according to the Marietta Daily Journal.

North Cobb knew it controlled its own destiny. That win-and-your-in mentality got the Warriors off to a quick start, but Harrison turned to a power running attack to trim the lead.
