Weekend Pigskin Roundup: North Cobb Wins in Rout

Each Monday we'll take a look at what happened on the gridiron over the weekend in Kennesaw Patch.

North Cobb 43, Campbell 14 – scored within the first three minutes of the game, according to the Marietta Daily Journal, and also put up 15 points before Campbell seemed to have time to blink.

North Cobb has scored 40 or more points in each of its last two football games, both Region 4-AAAAA victories.

Pebblebrook 21, Kennesaw Mountain 14 – allowed Pebblebrook to score the games first 21 points and then fell short in a comeback attempt Friday night, according to the Marietta Daily Journal.

Dalin Finley scored twice in the fourth quarter to give the Mustangs hope, but a late onsides kick rolled harmlessly out of bounds to seal Kennesaw Mountian’s fate.

Towns County 33, North Cobb Christian 6 – Senior running back Corey Harris scored the team’s lone touchdown Friday, but the bright spot was that he returned healthy from a concussion that caused him to miss the three prior weeks of football.

Hillgrove 21, Harrison 14 – quarterback Clay Chastain was involved in both scores for the Hoyas and threw for 176 yards Friday, according to the Marietta Daily Journal.

Harrison held Hillgrove to just 21 points, the lowest scoring output for the Hawks this season.
