Que'n Stew'n & Brew'n Wins Pigs & Peaches Cook-off
Close to 80 teams competed in the event last weekend in Kennesaw.
The -based team Que’n Stew’n & Brew’n claimed the title of Grand Champion at the city’s last weekend.
The team won $2,000 in cash, a Primo Oval XL ceramic charcoal smoker grill valued at $1,788, a oneof-a-kind ceramic trophy and bragging rights as State Champions in the Georgia State Championship Barbeque Cook-off. They took home additional cash and prizes in other judging categories, including 1st place in the beef brisket category, 3rd place in pork and 5th place in ribs.
Kudzu Q was Reserve Champion, winning $1,500 in cash and a trophy. The Grand Champion in the Backyard (amateur) division was Flaming Butts. The best in the Anything Butt contest was Smokey Tales, and Squealz on Wheelz won the Peach Dessert competition.

Pigs & Peaches is a Kansas City Barbecue Society sanctioned competition. A total of 79 cooking teams competed. Complete contest results for the professional competition can be found at www.kcbs.us
