Wash Barn Raises $2,845 for Local Non-Profits

It's the first business to open as part of the Canton Road Redevelopment Plan.

Thanks to Inger Eberhart, the assistant toΒ District 3 Cobb Commissioner JoAnn Birrell, for passing this along:

Wash Barn, located at 3028 Canton Road,Β and the first business to open as part of the Canton Road Redevelopment Plan, held a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony, Grand Opening and Community Fundraiser the weekend of August 24th and 25th.

As part of its grand opening celebration, Wash Barn provided free car washes and asked customers instead to donate to one of three local charities; MUST Ministries, Friends of Mabry Park, and the McCleskey-East Cobb YMCA.

Over the two-day event, Wash Barn gave away more than $11,300 in car washes and received donations from customers in the amount of $2,845. The donations will be made to the three local non-profits as designated by the customers.

In addition to the support of MUST Ministries, Friends of Mabry Park, and the McCleskey East Cobb YMCA, the fundraiser was also supported by the Sprayberry Chick-fil-A who provided sandwiches for customers, and JoAnn Birrell, Cobb County District 3 Commissioner.
