A Wet Weather Week Forecast for Cobb

Don't leave home without an umbrella -- and don't count on seeing the sunshine until later in the week.

The rainy weather that blanketed metro Atlanta over the weekend is going to stay for a while.

The only difference is that the cooler temperatures will be gone, according to this week's extended forecast furnished by the National Weather Service.

A wet forecast will be in effect for most of Cobb through Friday, and we're starting off the week with a flash flood watch until 8 p.m. tonight.

There is a 50 percent chance of rain today, most likely after 11 a.m., with highs in the low 80s and lows in the high 60s.

That pattern is expected to repeat itself through the middle of the week, with Friday expected to bring sunny skies and the chance of rain tapering off to 30 percent by Friday.

High temperatures will remain in the high 80s, with lows in the high 60s.

A sunny forecast is in store for Saturday and Sunday, along with a 30 percent chance of rain. High temperatures also will be in high 80s and lows in the high 60s.
