The St. Joseph Catholic School Holiday market will have personalized gifts, (Monogramming & Embroider services will be available during the show), home decor, wreaths and holiday decor, purses and accessories, handmade jewelry and arts, skincare, candles, hair accessories, hand knit/crocheted scarves, hats and accessories and more. The event takes place on Friday, Nov. 8, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic School, 81 Lacy St., Marietta, GA 30060

"Guys and Dolls" at the Cobb Civic Center

Atlanta Lyric Theatre presents the Broadway classic Guys and Dolls atThe Jennie T. Anderson Theatre at Cobb Civic Center, 548 S. Marietta Pkwy., Marietta, through Nov. 10.   

Bustling with gamblers, gangsters and sassy showgirls, Guys and Dolls celebrates Broadway’s golden era with a score by Frank Loesser, a book and lyrics by Joe Swerling and comedy legend Abe Burrows and Damon Runyon’s comic book world of 1940s Times Square New York City. Find out more here.

"Goldilocks and the Curse of the Porridge" on Marietta Square 

Young Actors Playhouse presents "Goldilocks and the Curse of the Porridge" on Nov. 9 at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. at 11 Whitlock Ave., Marietta. Admission is $10 for adults and $7 for kids. 

After becoming the laughing stock of the village after being cursed by a bowl of porridge, Goldilocks takes matters into her own hands. She ends up feeding the porridge to everyone in the village so they can share her plight. 

Cherokee Heights Arts Festival

On Saturday, Nov. 9, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. browse a selection of hand-made wood turnings, paintings, metal work, soap, wearable felted and other fabric art, pottery, handmade shoes, clothing, scarves, graphic arts, lots of jewelry, bird houses, original books, baked goods and more. The festival also features music, sidewalk chalk, balloon animals and face-painting. Cherokee Heights is located one mile north of Marietta Square on Etowah Drive (between Seminole Drive and Freyer Drive).

Kennesaw Offers Free Lunch to Honor Vets

In recognition of Veterans Day, the City of Kennesaw will honor the service of military members with a complimentary lunch on Monday, Nov. 11 from noon to 2 p.m. at the Ben Robertson Community Center, 2753 Watts Drive. 

Mail Call: A Look at Letters from Sherman’s Soldiers

On Monday, Nov. 11, researcher and historian Phillip Whiteman is presenting a program entitled, “Mail Call: A Look at Letters from Sherman’s Soldiers”.

Veterans Day Parade

The parade begins at Roswell Street Baptist Church, heads west on Roswell Street toward Marietta Square and ends at Lawrence Street. The parade is Monday, Nov. 11, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
