Kennesaw Grand Prix Series Continues with Garden Gallop 5K

The fifth event in the Kennesaw Grand Prix Series of 5K races, the Garden Gallop, will be held Nov. 2 in downtown Kennesaw and Swift-Cantrell Park.

The fifth event in the Kennesaw Grand Prix Series of 5K races, the Garden Gallop, will be held Saturday, Nov. 2 at 7:30 a.m. in downtown Kennesaw.  

The race for adults and children benefits Smith-Gilbert Gardens. 

The race follows a Certified 5K Peachtree Road Race Qualifier course. through historic downtown Kennesaw and Swift-Cantrell Park.

  • The one Mile Fun Run starts at 7:30 a.m., 
  • the 5K race begins at 8 a.m. and 
  • the Tot Trot starts at 8:45 a.m.  

Awards will be given for all overall champions in running divisions and top three in each age bracket.

The Grand Prix 5K series is part of the Kennesaw Fit City initiative, which encourages and empowers participants to combat obesity and inactivity and improve their quality of life.

The general entry fee for the race is $25 per person and includes free admission into Smith-Gilbert Gardens with a race number or shirt.

All registered 5K participants will receive an official race technical-shirt, runner/walker number and goodie bag.
