Kennesaw Paws in the Park

The 3rd annual presentation of the event will take place at Swift-Cantrell Park on Saturday, Sept. 21.

Responsible dog ownership will be the focus of the Dreamland Pet Memorial Center Paws in the Park Kennesaw free interactive event. 

The 3rd annual presentation of the event will take place at Swift-Cantrell Park on Saturday, Sept. 21, 9 a.m. to noon, rain or shine. It is designed to promote good behavior when walking dogs in public areas and to remind owners of the importance of proper waste disposal.  

The event is co-hosted by Keep Kennesaw Beautiful and the Georgia K9 National Training Center and will feature service dog demonstrations as well as exhibits by local businesses focused on pet feeding, obedience, and adoption as well as other related services.

Free samples of pet foods and products and discount offers for services will be available. 

“Dog owners sometimes need to be reminded that pet waste contains harmful bacteria that can be picked up in storm water runoff and washed into drains, lakes, or ponds, causing significant water pollution,” said Keep Kennesaw Beautiful Director Miranda Jones.

“This event celebrates the joy dogs bring to our lives, but also reminds us of our responsibility to pick up after our dogs and not spoil the environment for others.” 

Primrose School of Kennesaw North will be inviting pet owners to take the Primrose Paw Print Pledge, vowing to scoop and properly discard waste and make the city safe and clean for everyone.
