Dale is gone but not forgotten, Thanks for the good years of family dining we had at Dales Country Kitchen. Maybe one day Dale can come back to Kennesaw and run another good eatery.

The renovation of the old My Country Kitchen restaurant in downtown Kennesaw is moving along with a new roof being put on 5/9/12 and concrete being poured. The Pizza Brothers Company, and owner Ron King are spending $240,000 to redo the old restaurant and shortly a new sit down pizza restaurant will be opening. Watch it happen at:

A place for a good but inexpensive breakfast or lunch.
While MCK has closed the restaurant is now undergoing a major renovation in preperation of the June or July opening of the "Pizza Brothers Company" with owner Ron King.
This will be a sit down type restaurant rather than a strictly take out pizza restaurant. A lot of money and effort seems to be going into the remake of this property and in mid-summer we will have this location up and running as a pizza restaurant. You can see the renovations in process at: http://mycountrykitchenkennesaw.blogspot.com/
Yes Heyboy, only one star. The only reason I ever ate there was to join my friend Dent Myers for lunch. He liked the place. As far as supporting businesses in Kennesaw, I do my part. In fact, last week I did eat once at the Whistle Stop. I also ate twice at the old Boxcar Sandwich Shop, once at my Mom's house, and one day I ate potted meat and soda crackers that were purchased inside the city on the depot platform while train watching. You are welcome to eat with me at the depot anytime. When I eat with the people from the city, we usually eat at The Trackside Grill or BBQ Street and at my expense I might add.
I am sorry the place closed, but am not surprised. I loved their banana pudding, but I won't lose any weight because of it's closing. I honestly don't understand how it survived as long as it did.
Joe only one star , are your taking your bussness out of town like our Mayor and some of the city Council members are by going to the Whistle Stop Cafe. What if we all traded out side of Kennesaw ? Now we just have another empty building on our Main Street. I ask all who live in Kennesaw to support our city all they can.
Hi, T. Yes, I heard about this over the weekend. Very sad news as I understand the business had been in Kennesaw for 20-plus years.
My Country Kitchen at 2740 Summers St, Kennesaw closed down for good this past Friday Dec 2nd. Owner is/was Dale Cole.
A place for a good but inexpensive breakfast or lunch.
Nice family style restaurant, have been eating there about once a week for the last 5-6 years.

Have had lunch there twice and one time got a pizza to take out. I think it will be a very good addition to downtown. I have a blog about the place with photos of it being built and after it was finished, also posted the menu. See: http://brotherspizzacompany.blogspot.com/
While I do like the place I have to comment that the prices started out high for a pizza joint, now I see at lunch you can get 2 slices and a drink for $5.99, that is a step in the right direction. It is also pretty noisy when it gets crowded, it is a concrete floor with nothing absorb sound, so with a lunch crowd it could pass for a bus or train station at rush hour.
I do like the pizza and I think the place will do a good business.
