The grounds were originally developed to attract birds, but now the gardens are linked by paths that connect separate groupings of mature plants.
There are huge Japanese maples, a Bonsai exhibit, a camellia garden, waterfalls, a rose garden, two koi ponds and a conifer display. Educational programs are offered throughout the year for guests of all ages. The gardens are also available for private events.
