2013 Georgia Advanced Placement Honor Schools

Kennesaw Mountain, North Cobb Make State's AP Honor Roll

They received multiple honors.

Four North and West Cobb-area high schools this week were named 2013 Georgia Advanced Placement Honor Schools. Harrison, Kennesaw Mountain and North Cobb were designated AP Merit Schools because at least 20 percent of the student body at each school took AP exams and at least half of all AP exams received scores of at least a three. Students can earn college credit with scores of three or higher on AP subject tests. A five is the highest possible score. Additionally, Harrison, Kennesaw Mountain and North Cobb were named AP Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Schools and AP STEM Achievement Schools.
