American Idol Concert Tour Stops at Nearby Gwinnett Arena

The tour stops in the metro Atlanta entertainment venue on August 4. Tickets go on sale May 3.

American Idol, the popular FOX singing competition, is bringing its live tour to the Atlanta area, according to a press release from Gwinnett Center. American Idol Live! returns this summer with its hit touring showcase featuring this season's top finalists. And, 19 Entertainment and AEG Live have just announced that the 40-show concert tour will be coming to The Arena at Gwinnett Center at 7:30 p.m. on August 4. Tickets go on sale 10 a.m. on May 3, and can be boughts at: www.gwinnettcenter.com, www.AmericanIdol.com/tour and www.aeglive.com. American Idol Coming to Kennesaw

Season 11 winner Phillip Phillips will be in concert at the Kennesaw State University stadium.

Kennesaw State University is proud to announce KSU Stadium will be hosting Georgia native Phillip Phillips, March 24, for a full concert. This will be a laid-back Sunday evening family concert appropriate for all ages. The same day Phillips claimed his victory in American Idol’s season 11 finale, the 21-year-old singer/guitarist released “Home,” a debut single that showcases his rich, raspy vocals and masterful guitar skills — and marked the highest debut on the Billboard Digital songs chart to date. The song quickly became a global phenomenon and was used as the theme song for the U.S. women’s gymnastics team.
