Fundraiser for Lidiane, City Council Meeting

Here's a morning rundown of what you need to know on Monday, Feb. 6.

In local weather, the National Weather Service reports today will be partly sunny with a high near 56 and a low tonight around 36. Members of the local community are coming together to help Lidiane Carmo, the Kennesaw teen and Sprayberry High School student who was injured in the Florida pileup that killed her parents and sister. The Sprayberry Chick-Fil-A, located at 2530 Sandy Plains Rd. in Marietta, will hold a fundraiser today and donate 10 percent to the Bank of America fund set up to pay for Lidiane's medical expenses and the burial of her family.  Customers are asked to place receipts in specially marked boxes on the counter or at the drive-through window.
