Cobb Chamber Honors Kennesaw's Eaton-Welsh

She received its 2013 Health Hero Award.

The Cobb County Chamber of Commerce recognized Kennesaw Councilmember Cris Eaton-Welsh with its Health Hero Award for her significant positive impact on the health of the Cobb community at its First Monday Breakfast in February. Welsh, who is also a chiropractor and owner of Eaton Chiropractic, was cited for implementing several Kennesaw community programs to encourage a healthy, active lifestyle. These include Fit City Kennesaw, the Grand Prix 5K race series, and the development of Swift-Cantrell Park. Leadership Cobb Seeks Nominations

The Cobb Chamber of Commerce’s premier leadership development program is filling its class for 2012-13.

The Cobb Chamber of Commerce’s premier leadership development program is seeking nominations for members of the 2012-2013 class. Class members will be selected from business, industry, education, government and other professions, as well as from volunteer, civic and religious organizations. Leadership Cobb develops leadership skills and promotes professional and personal growth through experiential learning sessions. Class members are introduced to a variety of viewpoints, illustrating the array of economic, political, educational and social factors at work in Cobb County. Northwest Cobb's Citizens of the Year Honored

Three local residents were recognized for their outstanding dedication to their businesses and the community around them.

Three northwest Cobb County residents received “Citizen of the Year” honors for their tireless community activism and business successes at a Wednesday afternoon meeting of the Cobb County Chamber of Commerce at the Marietta Country Club. Jay Cunningham of Superior Plumbing in Kennesaw, Chef Henry Chandler of Henry's Louisiana Grill and Henry's Uptown in Acworth, and Gwen Buller of GTC (Governors Towne Club) Gives Back in Acworth were recognized by the Kennesaw, Acworth and West Cobb business associations respectively.
