Kennesaw Pianist Excels in Audition

Kellie Richardson will be an alternate performer at GMEA's State Conference.

Kellie Richardson, a junior sacred music major from Kennesaw, recently competed at the GMEA State Piano Auditions. Richardson placed in the competition as a First Alternate, and will be an alternate performer at the State Conference. Reinhardt students took five of the top six awards and ranked first in each category except Recital Winner. All seven Reinhardt students who performed placed. A total of 20 students competed, representing the following universities in addition to Reinhardt: Augusta State University, Kennesaw State University, State University of West Georgia, University of Georgia, and Valdosta State University.
