It won’t be easy to regain speed on Friday since the Lady Warriors must travel to play Hillgrove (13-1, 6-1) after a tough loss to Campbell. Both the Lady Warriors and the Lady Hawks are ranked in the top 10 in Georgia. The girls and boys basketball teams took on Harrison in this cross-town rivalry.
The boys and girls basketball teams from North Cobb High School traveled to Harrison Tuesday, and both teams came away with victories. The fourth-ranked Lady Warriors came away with a dominating 76-26 victory while the boys won in closer fashion, 59-51. Led by a 14-0 run, the Lady Warriors came out flying and proved why they are one of the highest ranked teams in the state. They started the game and continued with a full-court press which generated turnovers leading to countless fast-break opportunities. At the end of the first quarter, North Cobb led by the intimidating score of 30-6. Trying to reverse the losing trend will be no fun against the third-ranked team in the state, Campbell (12-2, 4-0). Campbell was just upset on Saturday by Marietta and will likely be looking for someone to take it out on.
