Town Center at Cobb to Pamper Mothers

Mom's Nite Out will be held May 9.

Mother's Day is May 12, but Town Center at Cobb is starting the celebration a few days early. From 6 to 8 p.m. May 9, mothers are invited to indulge in a night of pampering, shopping and prizes. Mom's Nite Out, which will be held in the Sears court, is free and open to the public. The first 300 shoppers will receive goody bags. Two moms will be selected to receive onsite 'hot mama makeovers' with hair styling and makeup by Sephora. And everyone will receive samples or pampering from stores such as Auntie Anne's, bareMinerals, bebe, Brookstone and Charlotte Russe.

Ground Broken at Kennesaw Site of Pediatric Imaging Center

Children's Healthcare of Atlanta broke ground on a new pediatric imaging center at their Town Center location on George Busbee Parkway. The center is scheduled to open in November.

Smith-Gilbert Gardens to Host Spring Fashion Show

It is scheduled for May 5.

Smith-Gilbert Gardens is hosting a brunch and fashion show on Sunday, May 5 from 1 to 4 p.m. featuring fashionable attire from Macy's at Town Center in Kennesaw. Models will give guests stylish ideas for both casual and formal spring attire. Just in time for Mother's Day, handbags and perfumes will be available for purchase along with paintings from the plein air competition. New Stores Coming to Town Center at Cobb

Major renovations and store openings were announced Wednesday.

Town Center at Cobb shoppers will soon have even more options when visiting the Kennesaw retail center. Mall management Wednesday announced plans for major renovations at popular retailers Bath & Body Works and Victoria’s Secret, both set to debut their brand’s latest prototype stores at Town Center at Cobb later this year. Bachrach and Victoria’s Secret PINK will also open in the Kennesaw mall, and Select Comfort is relocating to a larger storefront. Road Around Town Center to Temporarily Close Sunday

The Cobb County Department of Public Safety and other agencies will conduct "a full scale active shooter exercise" at the Kennesaw mall.

Don't be alarmed by all of the activity Sunday morning around Town Center at Cobb. From 7 a.m. to 9 a.m., the Cobb County Department of Public Safety and other agencies will conduct "a full scale active shooter exercise," said Sgt. Dana Pierce, the spokesman for the Cobb County Police Department. The exercise will force the department to shut down Ring Road, the road around Town Center, for the duration of the training. "This complex exercise is designed to establish a learning environment for first responders testing various policies, procedures and plans as it pertains to an active shooter and mass casualty event," he said in a news release. Weekend Spotlight: Santa Arrives in Cobb [VIDEO]

Get ready for Santa's first stop in Cobb County at Town Center Mall in Kennesaw.

This week's Cobb, Douglas and Paulding Weekend Spotlight features Santa's Arrival at Town Center at Cobb. Santa Claus makes his first stop of the season Friday evening in Kennesaw. Festivities take place from 6-8 p.m. in Center Court and include entertainment by Radio Disney, face painting, holiday activities and more. St. Nick will be escorted to his holiday home with live reindeer at 7 p.m. outside the Food Court Main Entrance.
