But some residents aren't happy that the trees are coming down.
Kennesaw plans to chop down 330 trees that have become a safety issue in the city's Legacy Park community. According to CBS Atlanta, Kennesaw will spend between $50,000 and $75,000 to remove trees that have caused sidewalks to buckle and about $140,000 to repair 700 sections of damaged sidewalks. But not everyone in Legacy Park is happy that the trees are coming down. Several residents told CBS Atlanta that they worry about the impact to the community's look.
