Kennesaw Man Arraigned on Child Porn Charges

Benjamin Sanders is charged with production and possession of child pornography.

A Kennesaw man was arraigned in federal court in Atlanta on Monday on charges of production and possession of child pornography. Benjamin Sanders, 55, was indicted by a federal grand jury on Nov. 13. He is being held without bond.  “Child pornography victimizes and exploits the most vulnerable and defenseless members of our society," United States Attorney Sally Quillian Yates said. Court: Child Porn Sentence Sticks

An Atlanta federal appeals court upheld the prison sentence of a 49-year-old Kennesaw ear, nose and throat doctor convicted of distributing child pornography. In March, Dr. Andrew Sutton was sentenced to eight years in prison. He challenged the length of the sentence, but the appeals court said Sutton's offense was “particularly serious because his actions bordered on production of child pornography,” according to the The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Sutton once worked for Northwest ENT and Allergy Center, which has locations in Canton and Marietta. He was also the executive medical director for the Cobb County Sheriff's Office. Child Porn Earns Doc 8 Years in Prison

A 49-year-old Kennesaw ear, nose and throat doctor was sentenced Friday to eight years in prison for distributing child pornography. Dr. Andrew Sutton worked for Northwest ENT and Allergy Center, which has locations in Canton and Marietta. He was also the executive medical director for the Cobb County Sheriff's Office. But in May 2010, authorities said Sutton found himself on the other side of the law. He engaged in an online discussion with an undercover law enforcement officer who posed as a woman with two children. During that discussion, Sutton asked for naked photographs of those children, sent several images of child pornography to the officer and used his web camera to send a picture of himself to the officer.
