Tuesday's victory against South Cobb was special for more than one reason.
Kennesaw Mountain High had two reasons to celebrate after Tuesday night's series against South Cobb High. Not only did the top-ranked Lady Mustangs give coach Lisa Chapman her 300th victory, they also won the Region 4AAAAAA championship, according to the Marietta Daily Journal. It's the second regional championship for Kennesaw Mountain's fastpitch softball program, which Chapman launched in 2000. The first was in 2007, according to the MDJ. State playoffs begin next week when the Lady Mustangs play host to the No. 4 seed from Region 1AAAAAA. Don’t miss any of the local news you care about.
