We’re one round into the Georgia High School Association’s basketball tournaments, and only one Kennesaw team remains in Class AAAAA play. While the Harrison boys fell to Hughes, the North Cobb Lady Warriors advanced to square off against Beach with a 52-29 victory against Stephenson. North Cobb Christian boys also move on in the Class A tournament after defeating Commerce 71-63. And we already have the first two winners of the Patch Georgia High School Basketball Challenge. Dan Matthews from Oconee Patch and Trey from Cartersville Patch proved to be the top prognosticators in the first round in Class AAAAA and Class AAAA, respectively, and each won a Patch prize pack, including a Patch polo shirt.
