July 4 in Kennesaw: Bob Seger Tribute Concert, Fireworks

The City of Kennesaw’s Salute to America, an annual pre-Independence Day celebration on Wednesday, July 3, will feature live music and a streetmosphere of talented entertainers.

Hollywood Nights, a New Jersey-based tribute to Bob Seger and The Silver Bullet Band, will be the music headliner. The concert will start at 7:30 p.m. 

129 & Counting, an internationally renowned barbershop quartet, will open the concert. The band will perform classics of American patriotism beginning at 6:15 p.m.

Fireworks will begin at 9:30 p.m.

Premium seating near the main stage is available. A table with six chairs can be reserved for only $75. With the exception of reserved tables, all seating will be general admission. 

Bring a blanket or comfortable low-back chair. Caution tape, ground tarps and lawn blankets may not be used to designate seating areas prior to 5 p.m. 

Shade umbrellas, canopies or any obstruction limiting the views of spectators will not be permitted in the general event area.

The main stage will be located in front of the Kennesaw Depot, 2828 Cherokee Street. 

A family entertainment stage featuring local dance ensembles and music performers will be located on Main Street near the pedestrian underpass. 

Inflatables, attractions and food vending areas will be located along Main Street and Cherokee Street. 

Public parking will be available at the following locations:

• Adams Park and the Ben Robertson Community Center, 2753 Watts Drive
• Kennesaw City Hall, 2529 J.O. Stephenson Avenue
• Behind the Southern Museum, 2829 Cherokee Street
• Grass lot off Big Shanty Dr./Sardis Street, north of the Kennesaw Depot
• Bus turnaround off Big Shanty Drive (handicap only)
• Kennesaw Teen Center, 2765 South Main Street (handicap only)
• Lot at the intersection of North Main Street and Moon Station Road (handicap only)
